LOcation, Directions & Accessibility

Center for People and Craft is located at 519 Oak Grove Street, Minneapolis, MN 55403, in Loring Park across Hennepin Avenue from the Walker Art Center. Finding us for the first time can be a little tricky, so please review the directions and entrance photos before your visit.

When We’re Open
We do not currently have regular public hours. Our doors open 30 minutes before each class or event and close approximately 30 minutes afterward.

Finding the Building
We are in the low stone building directly south of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral. Although we rent space from the Cathedral, Center for People and Craft is a separate organization. Note: There are two entrances.

Back Entrance — Recommended for Most Visitors
Our main entrance is a red door on the lower level at the back of the Cathedral’s large parking lot. We share this entrance with Los Pequeños childcare.

Parking is free for Center for People and Craft participants. Park anywhere in the lot, then look for the red CENTER FOR PEOPLE AND CRAFT sign and ring the doorbell.

Please note that this entrance requires climbing one flight of stairs.

Front Entrance — Accessible and Stair-Free
Our accessible entrance is on the Hennepin Avenue side of the building, directly across from the Walker Art Center. Look for the low stone building, concrete ramp, and red CENTER FOR PEOPLE AND CRAFT sign.

The parking pullout can only be entered while driving north on Hennepin Avenue. Enter the red bus lane and turn right into the pullout just before St. Mark’s Cathedral, near the playground. Follow the concrete ramp to the door and ring the doorbell.
