Green Wood Carving For Kids

Saturday, November 7: 10AM - 2PM

Come learn the basics of green wood carving in a cozy atmosphere. You'll learn about carving knives and grips, wood grain and carving safety. Above all, we'll have fun together and go home with the confidence to keep carving. This class emphasizes patience, self expression and curiosity more than perfection—ideal for anyone ready to slow down, learn through doing, and make something with their hands.

This introductory workshop is designed for kids ages 8–12. We will practice safe knife handling, explore wood grain, and experience the calming rhythm of handwork. Participants will have a choice of projects—butter spreaders, magic wands, beads, or spatulas—that build skills step by step.
